You can use any kind of paper you wish, any size etc and make beautiful bows for your hair or for anything you like to use them for.

i love making these. in response to the other posts, it's not just your tutorial, the one i used was a little confusing as well, some of the steps are just hard to convey with pictures. good job

and did you cut the right edge? look at how the scissor is set out. it's cutting the Z shaped fold there (the top edge of the Z)
